As the world's most popular herb it is an often-used spice, common in cuisines of the globe. The delicious and vibrant taste and wonderful healing properties of parsley are often ignored in its popular role as a table garnish.

But highly nutritious, parsley can be found year round in our gardens. In Middle Eastern, European, and American cooking alike, parsley is used for its leaf in much the same way as coriander (which is also known as Chinese parsley or cilantro), although parsley is perceived to have a milder flavor.

In Central and Eastern Europe and in West Asia, many dishes are served with fresh green chopped parsley sprinkled on top or often used as a garnish. This crispiness is one of parsley's best attributes, adding texture and colour when added just before serving. The fresh flavor of the green parsley goes extremely well with potato or rice dishes, with fish, fried chicken, lamb or goose, steaks, meat or vegetable stews and is often used in a bundle of fresh herbs to flavor stocks, soups, and sauces. Our Parsley herb is available from early November - end of May and is packed in secure and reinforced stand-up boxes that provide safe-handling for the herb's delicate stems and leaves.
